Suan is a visible, driving force in the national apartment community with extensive, long-term connections throughout all levels of the industry. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Apartment Association and was elected President of the Houston Apartment Association, where she served on that Board for nineteen years. She is the recipient of multiple, high-profile industry awards including: The Texas Apartment Association’s Presidential Award, Houston Apartment Associations’ Owner/Management Executive of the Year; National Apartment Association Presidential Award and Go-Getter of The Year. Suan serves as President on the Board of Texas Inter-Faith Housing. Suan’s executive experience includes VP and Director of Operations for The Finger Companies. She also served as SVP with Alliance Residential overseeing operations for 21,000+ multi-family units. Suan brings invaluable experience to Vesta in operations, development, lease up, property repositioning, marketing and training. She is a native of Oklahoma and holds a B.S. degree from The University of Oklahoma.
Laura Krupala, CPA - Partner, Financial Operations

Laura brings extensive financial experience to Vesta with expertise in operations, finance, strategic planning and business development. She has been directly involved in closing acquisitions and refinancing of assets valued in excess of $3.5B in debt and $800M in equity and mezzanine debt. Laura’s executive experience includes serving as EVP and CFO of Alliance Residential overseeing financial reporting for 215 multi-family properties with revenues exceeding $420M. She has held key financial positions with notable names in the multi-family industry including: Asset Plus, Greystar, Harry Reed and Vantage Companies. Laura holds a BBA from Texas State University. She is a licensed CPA and an active member of the Houston Chapter of the TSCPA.
Andrew W. Schor - Director, Acquisitions and Development

Andy heads acquisition, capitalization and growth efforts for Vesta. He has assembled apartment portfolios aggregating approximately 75,000 units with direct responsibility for acquisition, capitalization, financing, renovation, marketing and management of those properties. He has been active in real estate transactions throughout the United States and has owned and managed an investment portfolio of properties nationwide valued at over $3 billion, handling all substantive phases of real estate ownership and management. As a lawyer, Andy practiced extensively with major law firms representing institutional clients in securities work, acquisition, disposition, financing, syndication and management of their investment properties. He holds degrees from Brown University, Oxford University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Edward I. Biskind - Partner, Managing Director

Ed brings over 30 years of executive experience to Vesta in all aspects of real estate investment, management and development. With particular expertise in multi-family housing, his background has run the gamut from hands-on field construction to acquisition/rehab and ground-up greenfield development of retail, office and hotels. Ed's career began in Cleveland in a family-owned home building and commercial real estate enterprise. He has operated InterCapital, based in Chicago, since the early 1990s, focusing on the development and operation of landmark multifamily assets, power centers, town homes, and luxury for-sale, single family communities throughout the United States. He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and holds an MBA degree from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
Todd J. Howell, Director of Construction

Todd brings over 30 years of multifamily management and construction experience to the Vesta team. Formerly President of Principal Construction, he has completed over $100M in apartment renovations over the last 15 years, focusing on the southern half of the U.S. from California to Florida. Todd's hands-on experience includes managing many large and complex renovations including The Saulet in New Orleans, LA, where values were enhanced in excess of $10M. He has also served in regional multifamily management positions for large multifamily investor groups giving him a unique blend of construction and property management experience. A dedicated father and avid outdoorsman, Todd received his BBA in Finance from Stephen F. Austin University.
